      Ok I understand the link BM........however I have read it before at the risk of sounding like a real clown I have not planted it out as I thought that the change in temp would now make it dormant and maybe not get anything after the new green growth dies back......Now Im really confused!

      If it is ok to plant out now I will bang them in on thursday as there not something I want to be in the house

      I never got anything from the one I grew outside last year all I want is to eat a fresh gooseberry

              Thanks for reminding me btw, I finally remembered to check out the leaves of cape gooseberry on google and yes, I have two of them growing out the back now.
