Aww thanks folks for all your kind wishes and love that bat cake, Nicos. All in all, it has been a lovely day.
It started out with a very determined Maisie cat succeeding in tipping over my water glass by the bed first thing - she has been after it for hours and I shut her out of the bedroom at around midnight last night. I let her back in at 6.30 thinking she would have forgotten all about it by now - nope, I was wrong, water all over the floor and soaking the rug.
Then a dash off round the M25 with tiny snowflakes to an antiques and collectables fair with a friend. I could have taken a stall myself for decluttering purposes and it was good to see what people were selling.
Then off for a lovely risotto at an Italian restaurant and home in time for a nap and Countryfile in a little while. And my birthday marks the beginning of some serious seed sowing for the new season! I know I haven't been on the vine much since last summer but pretty soon things are going to kick off with the gardening club at school and some serious work to try and regain the plot on my allotment!
