I can upload a photo that's been saved on my computer but not managed to upload a photo straight from my phone. Is there a way?

Its the same principle but you need to have your phone connected to your computer with a usb cable

        edit note.

I may have misunderstood your post so excuse my wittering. My comment is still good but I never thought of you trying to upload directly from your phone.

Works for me with my iPhone . Just do the same as with a PC. It does go to a new window for the attaching photo bit though.

I'm obviously doing something wrong then, im using an iphone. I click on paper clip, go to the photo and select it . Then click upload and it says "fail to upload file". Tried a few different photos. My phone isn't connected to a computer

              How strange

I know that it isn't the answer but in the short term you could download photosync (free) to your iPhone and PC and transfer pictures from your phone to PC and vice versa.

If you want to send me the picture to try, PM me and I'll send my e-mail address.

I'll mention it to Admin to see if there's anything that they know about.

Scarlet.. Is it possible that the photo file size is too big?.. I sometimes get that message when uploading directly from my phone..

Tripmeup...yes, photo size must be the reason. I'm not using an app to reduce the photo size. Before I upload photos from my computer I reduce their size. I don't know how to do that straight from my phone.

Scarey - if I get photosync, will that let me upload via my phone or will I need to save to a pc first.

Nope, sorry. It just copies photo files between the iPhone and PC. After that, the pictures will be in the directory that you have set up (in my case - my pictures) on the PC and you can use the PC to resize and post the picture. I guess that you can do it by syncing your iPhone to the PC but I find this way quite easy.

Not so easy for me at the moment! Just got a new laptop with windows 8 - it doesn't like my iPhone much!!! Not managed to get my phone working with it...

... then Photosync is the way to go. You don't need to sync the iPhone, just have the programme running on your PC and the app on your iPhone and drag and drop the pictures between them - take a look at it, if it doesn't work - you can always delete it.
