  • You need one of those 'couplers' VC - one lead, two Dawgs. I'm going to try it, when Roxy's a bit more settled, as she has a harness like Oscar's.

Just had to go squeeze a few hens! I'd sold out of eggs and wanted my lunch.

    • Poor hens!

What a cute dog! Well dogs, since I think I missed saying that about VC's as well. I have some fun VC when I take the two dogs out on one 15 foot lead. Tie one on each end but then the beggars go different ways around a tree. Much cussing can be heard!

Lovely to think that dog will have some fun times now. Glad the old owners gave her up.

        • She's a little poppet, but I've already noticed that she snores! The story is, that her elderly owner passed away. The owner's grown-up children didn't want her, as they already had dogs, so they sold her on. The couple that bought her are lovely, in their twenties with a young son and another baby on the way. Sadly she just hasn't settled in a town environment. At least they had the intelligence to realise she was depressed.

          • How old is she G4? She is gorgeous - what does Oscar think of her?

            • Beautiful G4, just beautiful (Roxy not you ) and Oscar looks handsome as always. What a pleasure they're going to be. We always had our GSs in pairs. I told the children it was because none of us could talk dog

              • I think the couple wanted to keep Oscar, to be honest - but I'm used to that reaction! Roxy is said to be around three years old. She has supposedly just finished her season, but she has very swollen b**bies, as if she's had pups in the past. Like me, she has some lard to lose, but she has had 'ad-lib' food for the last few months, which certainly won't have done her any good! I'll give her a few weeks to settle in to some sort of food and exercise regime, then I'll take her over to my Vet and get her checked over.

Oscar is being a bit of a pain at the moment, as he wants to play with her, but she's not interested!

She's little, pale and fat - looks more like a sheep than a Golden Retriever. She is also very depressed, but has given me a couple of spontaneous cuddles, and licked my hand. Numb-n*ts won't leave her alone, and she has told him off a couple of times, so I tried to make them lay down quietly together, in the hope that they both start to chill out a little, after all the excitement.

                    Coffee?

Those couplers are dreadful. I had one for my two and soon abandoned the idea. Dogs will always wrap you up in two leads, but wrap eachother up in one.
I'll see if I've still got it somewhere and send it if I have.

Waiting for this house check. No news yet, but fencing up and looking lovely. It's spurred me into making all sorts of changes. Mr VVG feeling quite exhausted, as we've worked non stop in pouring rain. What can I say, I'm an outdoors kind a girl

Darn, too late to the party again. Chances are I threw it anyhow, as there wasn't enough space between for them to pee independently.

                              • I guess we'll 'suck-it-and-see' regarding the coupler. I don't imagine it'll be ideal, but I hope it'll make lead walking easier. I'm hoping to spend some time out with them both tomorrow - we're going to meet up with my Mum and her Goldie down our favourite track, then back to M&D's for a romp in their hoooooge garden if they all get on OK. Roxy is very much like my Mum's dog in character and size, so I don't anticipate any nastiness.

They're both out for the count again now.
