    • A bleary morning to you all. About 4hrs kip and I am up again to face the world. Regardless of the worls being ready for me or not.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

      • G'Moooooooooooornin' and Happy Solstice everyone - hope you have a good'un

Really sorry to read about Jules' visit from the sh!t fairy (rant thread), I wondered where she'd got to, recently.

Roxy seems to have settled in quite well considering she only arrived yesterday lunch time. The tail has come out from between the legs, and is wagging furiously the whole time, which is a good sign. Oscar has stopped picking at his food now, as she scoffs hers, and then sticks her snout in his bowl - he actually told her off, too!

        Coffee?

            • G4 - Looking good for Roxy! Amazing the difference a new dog makes.
Rosie used to hang back with her food - just not interested - and wouldn't eat until Mary came over to have a munch. Now, all 3 of them eat, side by side, and Rosie finishes first.
Lily is good at fetch, the other 2 never learned to play, but last night, the 3 of them were running up and down the kitchen after toys, even Rosie managed to find some toys and bring them back

              • Morning All...greyish, sort of, but the shiny is trying to break through.

Off to Hosp. in just a minute. We left the BH's breakfast with the nurse last night to try and ease things a little. He's in a side room to himself because, at first, he was immobilised until he regained consciousness and they could check him over and ask him questions. Hopefully, now he's up and about, recovery will be swift. I might ask, today, if they've any idea when he'll be home. Although I think it'll be quite a while yet.

Has everyone got new doggies? I've got a lot of catching up to do, but it'll have to wait - my driver is shouting me.

                Laters x

                      • Morning all. The weather round here doesn't seem to know what it wants to do this morning. Oh well, never mind, it's housework day for me today. Shame I can't hang the washing out and have to have the noisy tumble drier on.

                        • I'm off in a minute to check out what's happened to Jules hubby.

I've two dogs and two cats locked in the house with me. Cat's in front row near the fire, dogs in 2nd row, me in the back row
There's a ringtail possum in the rafters on the deck and the dogs would like to get hold of it. Evil Kitty would give it a run for it's money too. It's just above the table where I've the corn cobs (which were for the chooks, but the rosellas have been stealing them) and the apples.

Feeling sorry for the wild life at the moment, altho the native birds are eating a lot of the chook feed, so costing me a bit, but there's sod all else for them atm. Tiny bit of green coming thru so the roo's are feeling better.

The redneck double glazing is working so it's a little better here tonight. Need to do the rest of the windows now. That will be a job for when I get back from the next round of shifts.
Just trying to dry my work clothes so I can pack, then food to be sorted. Need to get the printer cartridges out of my car (daughter has a photography assignment due before I get back)

                          • oh Jules that's waay too much sh!t you've had to deal with , hope hubby is ok and back home as soon as.......hugs x

Flo, I have one line manager but there was also her second in command plus her manager who were there allegedly just to observe. Makes a total farce of the 'this is your chance to speak up about all issues in total confidence ' thing. The form they used was different to the one I'd been given to read through . I was made to feel that I shouldn't have a life outside of work even tho' I do 10 hrs I should live and breathe the place. Then I get hit with 'others don't like working with you they say you are not customer friendly (this was all from the observer) They complain that I get too many Saturdays off and I don't go on team meals (btw the next one is when I go on hols again).....Safe to say I felt totally intimidated and tbh totally flummoxed , couldn't even think of the right words to say to defend myself.
Have sent an e-mail to ask union rep to phone me cos if I ring in they'll know its me....
OH says don't think about it but it's hard not too ....even managed to burn a pan last night just stewing some apples ......

                            • That really sucks Bins. Must admit I didn't go on any work do's at the last job. Didn't feel like leaving my kids at home to drive back into town and eat. The others would have taken it in turns to drive together and have a drink. I've had coffee's with the people I liked, when it suited us. Hate that 'you must attend work functions' sort of attitude! I've just been reading thru a complaints policy for something that I want to complain about, and it said that you had to put your details down and give specific instances with evidence of the complaints, otherwise they couldn't investigate and decide if you had good reason to complain. Which is reasonable really. So I'd be asking the managers 3, what were the specific instances of customer problems and taking each instance on it's own and discussing it. Sounds like a bit of bullying really.

As for the apples, I've just burnt my baked spiced apples and I've no excuse!
