Why did I do it? Someone has offered a long handled bulb planter on Freecycle with the proviso that it be collected asap. I've asked for it but now I have to keep popping in from the garden to check whether its for me I'm losing my afternoon as I don't want to get too stuck into something in case I have to go out ........may as well put the kettle on while I'm here - hot cawfy anyone?

      Afternoon all, all right?

Played down the plot this morning. Both parents made an entrance there. Came home with an armful of rhubarb from a plot neighbour. Had fun, now visiting grandad in Warwickshire.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps. Warm here, for a change.

Not sure about a 'jump start' RT - that's what caused the problem in the first place, Bud! Good luck with the Kids n Ponies, Petal. I think it's PC Camp this week, lorries and trailers everywhere, this morning. I actually went out for a plod on a Chum's Horse this morning. Made a lovely change - even though she is the size of a block of flats , in fact, she'd have made a good police horse, I reckon.

          Coffee?

I have Spuds showing! I bunged 'em in buckets - it'll be three weeks tomorrow - I went to water them this afternoon, when I got home, and there they were!

              It's the simple things...

Talking of which, Mr.G is dishing up me grub. Catch ya laaaaaaater!

Haven't heard so I don't think so They've been recommended on here, BM, I think, so the chance of a free one was too good to ignore. I'll just have to carry on bending

VC - a very useful tool for planting potatoes as well as bulbs.

Mine cost under a tenner at Dobbies - worth every penny!

I lent it to the newbie couple and they have since bought one for themselves for £9.

                    • Been out to feed the chooks and horses. Forgot to bring the jeans off the line, so that nasty overcast sky just might rain on it! Wind picking up again as I speak.

Petal hope you weren't too cream crackered after all that horsey stuff. P.C. is meant to be on tomorrow.
Should pop into rant but I'll drop it in here - had the vet out to the new horse who has been not good since he knocked his leg ages ago. Was good about 10 days ago then started limping again, so had the vet out - son here as I was at work and daughter at school. And the d@mn horse wouldn't limp!

Even if it's not raining tomorrow we'll do horsey stuff at home, as we've two to get going again, and I wouldn't be fit to be around small children if his lordship starts limping again!

Glad you're having some good weather over there. Still craving rain here. It keeps taunting us with overcast skies and general nastiness and then blows away.

I'm on the hot coffee now, but you'll all be asleep or heading there soon so I'll have to drink it all on my own.
Daughter enjoyed herself on the excursion yesterday. Will go pick her up around lunchtime as she never gets anysleep when she stays at this persons place. She will be a bit snarky this afternoon!

                        That's made me smile

My dad in the 30's living in Colne (Lancs.) used to be picked up on the 'school run' by the local farmer's carthorse, picking up 4 or 5 nippers on the way - the photo we have is of half a dozen kiddies sitting on the equivalent of a 6' tall horsehair sofa!

                        • Oh - and thinking about RT and the missus.

PS - get on with it, Pickle, it looks like it'll be a nice day for gardening tomorrow, so we can't all be hanging around on here waiting for news of your arrival.

G'day, and all that (when you finally get here!)
