Afternoon, well its rained here all day so the only outdoor thing has been shopping least that's over with and anyway I'd sooner go shopping in the rain than wasting a sunny day doing it. So now I'm making pearl barley soups because that's what I felt like doing, and it does smell yum.

Now I'm hungry

Prevening......and it's not pleasant out there, not pleasant at all. It was a wet start to the day, but it brightened, then it went chilly and a huge sea mist rolled in. That was blown away by a wind that has gathered in strength all afternoon. I wish it would blow away. I've had to put the heating on to keep the poor BH warm. Does it not know that we are nearly in July?

The Boy is very sweet, we're all very proud of him. #2 Son has been on the verge of tears all day, and now we will have this hanging over us all weekend because we cannot get hold of anyone at Uni until Monday. I think they took the phones off the hook today, they were engaged solidly. It's a very miserable limbo we're in. We're hoping this is some kind of mistake because his tutors have spent the year telling him just how well he's doing.....Both boys are going to help their sister with her new garden shed tomorrow - she'll keep them cheerful and busy.

Hot bath and, I think, brandy over ice cream this evening.

I shall not be responsible for my actions if/when I get my hands on that blinkin' faery, but it will be a case of one quick snap, and then everyone home for tea & medals.

I've told #2 not to mope. There isn't anything we can do until Monday at the earliest. Go out, enjoy your weekend, help your sister, see your friends, be normal. We'll get it sorted one way or another.

Evening All! I've finally stopped gardening as - wait for it - its started to rain
I am totally knickered, knockered and knackered - but I'm worth it
Jules - It must be a mistake - how can they say that if he hasn't even seen his exam results? When will he get those?

That's the thing, VC. We just got this letter out of the blue - we've had no results letter although the first sentence of today's letter was along the lines of 'by now you will be aware of your exam results'. The exam review board has already met, on June 21st, and the letter we got today was the result of that meeting. We are completely confused. And it's the helplessness that's awful.

Oh..look, I can only find a pint glass. It'll save refills though

Am at a wedding tomorrow. Mate from uni-he and his intended will be receiving a posh 'congratulations' rose. I couldn't find a dinosaur or Star Trek linked one with only a week before being asked to attend! Even my dress for tomorrow is flowery.



Have been the bearer of smiles, with the floo'ers. Another posh rose sent to one of my dear friends, she is very much of a Welsh and Italian heritage and loves roses. So off went 'cariad', as well done and congratulations for passing your counselling degree.

I have to go put my cripple to bed. Too much tv, he's got a neadache and they aren't allowed. Painkillers and rest with the lights off are prescribed.

Just caught up with all your trials and tribulations.
Mr VVG says don't worry - he flunked his second year at Uni, retook that year and gave himself a kick up the jacksee. He got through it and it did his career no harm.
