    • Evening all ! I'm raising a glass of quince, rhubarb and red fruits wine - now you don't find that on the supermarket shelf. Chin chin!

      • No confusion, Bren, I typed 'buses' instead of 'bushes' and 'wed' instead of 'weed' and the Nutters picked it up before I edited out the errors.

Great Tennis match, by the way. I wasn't planning on watching, but Mr. G had it on, and I really enjoyed it. Janowicz has one hell of a serve, at 140 mph! but Murray is a very very talented player. Ace.

        Cheers!

        • Evening all... Just in from the garden... Got a bit done and now relaxing with a nice glass of red...
What a beautiful day it was... Hopefully same tomorrow...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

          • Well glad to know what the fun was G4 - hate it when people edit the funny bits

As for the french talk earlier - as an 'aussi' the only words that I recognise are 'soleil' and 'vin' - funny that!

Still blowing here. The chooks will be hiding in the hay shed again with this wind. The native ducks have discovered where I feed the chooks now so they are descending in a great cloud. I don't mind them having a bit of a feed, but really cant afford to feed the entire bird population!

Too windy to do any gardening. I might try and get some tyres around the new trees later today for wind protection, but it's not easy working when it's blowing a gale.

Daughter's boss, well I'll just pop over to rants.

                • Morning!!! Its foggy here - but I'm going to call it a Heat Haze 'cos it sounds better I really should do some outside work before it becomes unbearably hot (please).

Isn't it amazing how little good weather is needed to have a measurable difference in plant growth

                    • G'Moooooooooornin' Peeps. Hot and hazy here already!

Had sort of planned to ride this morning, but got up late, and as it's only going to get hotter as the day wears on, I'll be giving it a miss, again. BIIIG 'Orse and the Old Fella are out 24/7 now, and filling their bellies with good rich (gassy) grass. I'll be up there this evening clearing the field of steaming green pancakes again.

Sorry if that puts you off your brekkie!

                      Coffee?

                            • It is a glorious day here!

It's too hot for gardening, though, and too hot for running - but not (I notice) too hot to do the housework.

Washing on the line, bathroom to clean, then kitchen floor, and vacuuming.......

                              laters!

                              • Afternoon, Grapes. Finally home after my excursion to London yesterday. Bon Jovi were fabulous, as always, and the Kaiser Chiefs were a brilliant warm-up act. Th atmosphere in Hyde Park was amazing and everyone was having a great time. It was along day, though, and we didn't get back to my friend's house until nearly 2 o'clock this morning.

My honey picked me up about midday and we stopped off in Ely on the way back for a spot of lunch. When we got home I discovered that he'd done all the laundry and got 2 loads out on the line, already, with just one more to be put out when some of the earlier stuff was dry. He's a star!

I'm tired and dehydrated, but we've now done the weekly shop so all I need to do is relax and re-hydrate myself.
