  • Ah go on G4! That way you'll have to keep to the atkins, so the measurements go down!

    • Good luck G4- it's always worked for me- a stone at least each time I've done it. I just worried about my cholesterol levels though as they were already high!

      Flipping expensive diet too!

Weather can't make up it's mind if it's April or June at the moment...aat least it's not raining!!!

        • PP- Oh put the last of our spuds in yesterday- the soil was still sticking to his spade

Frustrating thing is that it probably won't be long before we'll need to water some of our crops ( wishful thinking?????)

            • Afternoon All.....

Three hours to collect a new car. And, after all that, the car has to go in for repairs to the paintwork next week. There are deep chips all over the passenger side, back & front, right down to the metal. Lovely car though - just not impressed with the garage. BH was late for his meeting at 11.45. I'm sat here reading the manual for the satnag, stereo & usb connections.

              Coffee?

                  • I'm desperate for something sweet to eat. I have 3 options -
                    1. bake something
                    2. go to the shop
                    3. eat a Chr***mad pud with a best before date of March 2003.
                    What should I do?

                    • Go for the pud - it's instant, and think how lovely and mature it will be, what with being a decade out of date.

Tip a bit of brandy on if you are unsure - after all, alcohol lasts forever, so the combo of the two will bring the pud right back up-to-the-minute.

                      • My thoughts too, Hazel, apart from the brandy - 4.30 seems a bit early
It was a bit dry but its filled a big hole in my stomach - before anyone says anything norty If I'm not around tomorrow it was an M&S individual one...tell the coroner please

                        • Well, I thought about the hour and I was going to suggest a bit of cream to moisten it instead, but thought that the age of the pud might curdle the cream

                          • No cream here - don't like it. There may be some icecream in the freezer of a similar vintage Perhaps I should make a Challenge out of this

This made me chuckle VC, hubby keeps telling me to get rid of the fruitcake I made this time last year but still haven't got around to icing. I've told him it's totally pickled in brandy now so will keep for years!
