    • Good Evening Lovely day with lots of surprises (I didn't think I liked surprises, but they were rather nice). Curry (sorry G4) consumed and about to try out the bottle of Chablis bought for me by my colleagues at work. Such a shame that Himself has chauffeuring duties tomorrow (he only drinks beer anyway)

      • Evening all. I'm absolutely shattered - spent all day at the lottie in the sunshine

        • Dying to go play on the plot. Only it's going to be another day or so, it's exam season. Closet I am currently going to get is the stuff in the classroom.

          • Evening all...Busy day today as herself's car broke down, and had few visits to make.. Relaxing with a glass of red tonight... As it is a Bank Holiday Monday
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Sounds like you had a wonderful 60th celebration, Flo - nice that your work colleagues appreciated the day too.

Hope Mrs T's car is fixable, Trip.

A glass of red on bank holiday Monday - not a work day for you tomorrow?

I did a bit of wangling on the work front myself today - although I obviously am too dedicated to have sneaked off to the Hill at lunchtime in the sunshine - and I wouldn't have weeded the garlic, pulled some rhubarb, admired the strawberry flowers and counted the seedlings, would I?

              You didn't see me, roight?!

                • Actually, not perhaps the cleverest game, on reflection......!

Mind you, my mum called earlier to ask me to look up recipes on 'that gadget' for Philadelphia cheese, as she had a pack in the fridge, probably bought for a recipe (unknown) and now it's out of date to the tune of one month, and what can she use it for?

Lining the bin, was my conclusion in this case.

Looks nice out side my grass paths still need a trim.
I did the watering yesterday evening it takes the best part of an hour with a hose pipe(pleased there is not a ban )
Most things are now going well except the French beans(20 germinated out of 100) & the parsnips started of in the green house & still not ready to plant out.

                    • Morning BW, sounds like you were busy yesterday - I'll have the watering job this evening. Providing cake for my colleagues as a thank you for my birthday presents yesterday - cakes and buns for about 50 people - not a home baked cake in sight! Got a balloon popping session and decorations to take down in my office too. Best get on. Hope everyone has a good day

                      • Morning, I've finished my watering session just in time before the sun hit the veg plot.

Hazel I'm with you on your Mums cream cheese I only go a couple of days over using up the last of dairy products.

                        Enjoy your balloon popping Flo.

                        • Glorious Morning again! Not much gardening today - I'm taking my Mum to have her claws clipped so mustn't get dirty or she'll be licking her hanky and wiping me down
As for old dairy products, unopened tubs of cheese seem to keep for longer than their date, but once their opened - forget it. With proper cheese I just trim off the mould
Enjoy your day Flo and All
