  • Ooooh that sounds deelish, Jules. I'm famished, too. Hope Hubby's OK.

I was very naughty this morning. Mr.G left a lovely rustic olive loaf in the kitchen, and I just had to toast some and scoff it for brekkie. I've been so good this week but I just couldn't resist it. T'was goooooood!

As much as I'm loving the sunshine we could really do with some rain, wonder if I can order it just for overnight.

        • The BH really misses breads...I'm not that bothered about it. My norty was having fries from MacNobble's on the way home from Bath t'other night. Kinda wished I'd enjoyed them more......

Supper was lovely - or lush as they say around here - I'm just finishing my glass of white. Just been getting the picnic lunch ready for tomorrow. We'll probably eat it looking at the Humber Bridge. Egg salad for me and egg mayo sammiches on Burgen for the chaps, some sweet treats & coffee. Must check the weather forecast.

Big fat drops of warm rain here since about 3ish. That wasn't forecast but the garden is soaking it up as fast as it falls.

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

I don't miss bread, until I see foreign or artisan breads, then I crave it. It's Hubby's fault - if he'd hidden it in the bread bin I wouldn't have tried it. (or gone back for seconds ) OK, the Chooks would've got it in about a week's time, when he remembered it was there and it had gone mouldy. Like the rolls we bought for the 'gathering' two weeks ago, that they had this morning. Good job we have so much money we can afford to throw stuff to the Chooks. (Don't get me started...)

              • We do that with the white pap the boys love so much. They insist that there is always bread but never eat it. Just as well the chooks will do it justice. Hmmmm......just thought about that sentence - you can't really justify pap unless it's chook grub.

I think I'll suffer in Holland - I love fresh continental bread and really white unsalted Dutch butter. I was brought up on it. I can have the butter, but it would be mean to eat the bread when the BH can't. Unless he annoys me.....

                • LOL Jules. I luuuuuuurve that well-known Danish unsalted butter - I can eat chunks of it!

We had planned to eat out with chums, this evening, but Mr.G thought he was going to be late home, so we re-scheduled for next week. Then he got finished early but by that time they were busy. I was tasked with ordering 'something' on-line, as Mr.G didn't want to cook, and neither of us could be arrised to get changed and go out.

I was just about to give in, and order a CUUUURRRRRRYYYYYYY! which will make me feel bleeeeuuuugh tomorrow, and then I discovered he's in the kitchen, happily making burgers and croquet potatoes out of leftovers. Love 'Im!

                      • Can't imagine a Bollywood house without chappatis, naan or pita bread. Even rice and pasta for that matter.

I had dinner in Cov tonight. Back home and vegetating.
