                • Help! - someone very recently posted a link to a site which gave the instructions for covering a plot with black plastic sheeting which prevents vermin from sheltering underneath - I saw this a few days ago and want to use the info. at a Committee meeting but can't find it now

                    • Don't think so - I was just browsing through various threads a few days ago when I picked it up and used the link - it made fascinating reading as it spelt out how to avoid the problems of creating a haven for vermin, mainly mice, which are a major problem on this site resulting in the use of plastic being frowned upon by the Committee - when the tarp was removed from the plot next door to my daughter's between 40 and 50 mice scampered away later to be seen under rhubarb plants about 50 meters away.

This link suggests best practice can eliminate the problem

                          • Y'see where you went wrong, Shen, was not tying a piece of string to your computer before you went wandering off down the highways and byways of the internet - it's no wonder you can't find your way back there!

You could have left a trail of crumbs instead, but I find that this is not good for the keyboard.
