Back is killing - haven't had anything to eat or drink since 2pm. Came in from trimming a bl**dy knot garden - box hedging is a PITA. Seemed like a great idea fifteen years ago, when I took my ire over some guy out on an old non fruiting apple tree. Now I am getting older and my bones aren't so well oiled, it's a killer. Bath time and a toasted sandwich for me.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
Creeps up on you VVG. One minute you're merely mature, then suddenly you're one of those wrinkled old sages and are supposed to be knowledgable - or in my case, known to chatter a lot Look how many posts I have I'm sure someone is sneaking them in while my back is turned
i agree - in working for yanks for nearly twenty years, objective setting, appraisals - both yearly and mentorship were de rigeur. They were also complete ********! You cannot be appraised on your performance, if no objectives were set in the beginning, so sounds like some idiot is implementing something they don't fully comprehend. In order to measure something, there needs to be parameters set.
Pillux!
I forgot to add - training plan - where is it? Every year, a training plan needs to be part of the objective setting/appraisal programme. Come on girl - push back on these a**holes and tell them how it's done!
all I want to do is go in and work my hours .......they seem to think I should be aspiring to greater things. Must admit she was surprised when I said i take brochures and leaflets to put in the hut at the lottie ..... I'm not the sort to shout about things I just get on and do ......
Yoohoo!! Anyone awake yet?
Dry and breezy in this little corner of the world! Hope you all have a good day and Bins - hope you sell lots of "Not just jams"
Wow RT, you have been busy so far this morning. I have been awake ages but just decided to get up. Busy day ahead with a trial run of the new cafe/kids play barn I now work at. Got to play on the indoor stuff yesterday and that helter skelter is steep!!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
Am sitting outside in jammies with a coffee trying to cool off, it was sooo hot last night even with all the windows open. Grey skies and fresh from last night's rain but still nice. (I found the perfect spot to sit so I still get wifi from the house ).
Cuppa anyone?
