      Hey VC...
Sorry, missed you earlier. Was actually watching a rerun of the rugby..
Good win for the Lions, altho if the Aussies had a kicker, it would have been a different story

        • Moaning all. Windy here too, but at least it's dry for now. Supposed to be going for a walk at 10, along the beach with lots of dogs

          • Morning everyone. It's dry and windy here in Essex too but Metcheck says light rain later this morning. So I'm off to the lottie to do a bit more ground clearing - hardly did any yesterday because there's too much to do keeping on top of the stuff already planted.

Maybe the rain will hold off till lunchtime.

            • Morning another wet an windy day here, the gardens looking good though with all the rain we've been getting.

My only gardening job for today is to tie on the Serbian beans that don't seem to want to wind around the canes.

              • G'Mooooooooooooornin' Peeps! Yes, it's windy up this end of the County, too.

Just been reading up on POTS, Sammy - sounds ruddy inconvenient! Hope you're OK. ((((HUGS)))) to Jules and Hubby, glad he's on the mend.

As for you, HH, you just be careful - one is fine, but two is just plain greedy! Your head will sort out which one you prefer, because, once the physical attraction side of things has calmed down a bit, you really need to actually like each other.

Me an' Mr.G are very different; I'm tidy - he's very ruddy messy. I'm very lazy - he's a workaholic. The reason 'we' work is that we both allow the other to be themselves, not constantly trying to change them. He likes the fact that I'm a 'smart-@r$e' and he likes the fact that I can plumb in a washing machine, wire a plug, change a wheel, because that means he doesn't have to worry about me. I like the fact that he does the cooking, cleans the toilet, will vacuum/dust/polish/iron if needed, and he almost never moans if I spend too long down the stables.

Of course, if he was drop-dead gorgeous and filthy stinkin' rich that would be better!

Two candidates is more than there has ever been!

One is obsessed with prettiness-hence the blushing; there was a lot of blushing. As I said before, I'm glad I've got a positive self image. The other, less Centred on what i look like. What concerns me, is being able to have a conversation and use the brain as to any other bit of ones anatomy. The other, I did have a chat with. The one, had a conversation that was peppered with man flu, coughing and spaced outness. And this one would rather worry about the brain if we were to meet.

They are both pretty, in my opinion. For me though, that isn't enough!

                      • Take your time Hobbit and get to know both of them. First impressions are all very well but often do not show the "real" person.

Had a lovely walk this morning with 31 greyhounds and 9 assorted breeds. Even the rain held off till we got to the cafe

                        • We've had a morning de-cluttering. The chooks got confined to barracks, the leccy fence was opened, and a big bonfire was had! The big shed is now only half full, and remaining contents ready to be sorted. The dogs have 'helped' by running round the chook run like loonies, and have had much fun rolling in chook poo.

Mr.G has found a load of 'goodies' that he thought he'd lost, I have found paperwork and about a hundred old photographs that I thought were lost. They are water damaged, but there's loads of negatives, too, so fingers crossed. I started reminiscing, but got told off!

We've burnt loads of old bank statements and receipts that we found in a box, and said goodbye to some dining chairs that were just taking up space, and a chest of drawers that we were given, despite saying we didn't want it. I'm not moving all this stuff again - we've moved it twice and not needed it, so it went on the fire! Happy happy!

                          • Definitely not rushing, RL, I agree with you about the real person. So I'm weighing things up very carefully. Besides, I have a feeling that the universe is upto something, and stacking up things help any would be fella. He doesn't know it yet, and neither do I. Best described as spidery senses. Feels closer than it has for a long time.

                            • That's good, HH, stay positive.

Been asleep most of the afternoon, after breaking the lawn mower. Had to have the dryer going all afternoon - good job the BH isn't here, even if it is mostly his laundry - to get laundry finished.

Bought a new Peace Lily from the supermarket at lunchtime. Probably just sentenced it to death - I'm useless with houseplants. Had a handful of Alpine strawberries from the garden - like sweeties, only better.

Off to the hospital now. See Rant Thread......

                              • Eeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! I've been out to Nosey Garden Sunday again with a chum. We had CAAAAAAAAAKE! Well, it's compulsory, innit!?

Garden was lovely, as was the cuppa and aforementioned treat. There were plants and books for sale - got two books for a total of £2 - Bargain! But chum was dithering over plants, so when I went and paid for my books, I bought her a pot of Nerines for £1. Got back to the car to discover she'd bought one, too!

Heavens opened on the way back, and Hubby had got the laundry in off the line.

                                G&T anyone?
