  • Evening, read your rant Jules couldn't get over your outlaws.

Nothing much done outside today because of the rain so I've spent the afternoon reading instead.

            • Evening from me three........
Wind dropped and rain cleared away so managed to get some odds and ends done outside. Also managed to disturb a bee colony whilst weeding and was stung on both hands I've always thought that weeding is not a good idea

share? 3 year old was too excited to even think about it!!.
I didn't mind anyway.. I love her enthusiasm for things like that.. She has her own tub of carrots that she checks each day...

                    • I have lots of standard Strawberries ripening in my barrel, but you need half a dozen Alpine strawbs to equal one standard Driscoll. Last year, the Alpines were fruiting into December.

We thought, for years, that the Driscolls weren't producing fruit. Then we realised The Boy was beating us to them....

I am sooooo tired. But it's worth it so see my best beloved recovering. When we got there this evening, an old chap from the main ward was deep in conversation with my horizontal husband. His name is Colm. They talk about all sorts when we aren't there - the favourite topic is politics. Colm is incredibly well educated, speaks beautifully and makes everything interesting. The BH tells me he didn't miss his fond Mama today - he just missed his lunch - because he and Colm were too busy putting the world to rights. The BH says Colm doesn't have any visitors, we don't know why......even my sons are fascinated with him. The conversation was waaay over my head.......astrophysics!

Anyway, progress is steady, recovery is ongoing. More tests tomorrow and scans on Tuesday. If they are all good then he'll be home on Wednesday. Colm goes home on Tuesday so they have a few more days together.

Just finish my last few jobs and then I'm off to bed. The APs go home tomorrow. They've been terribly helpful, but I shall be glad of the peace. Even though they're doing lots of things, I still seem to be running around making sure they have everything they need etc.

                      Night All x
