  • Well Jules, you can't expect BH not to do too much, when he's been shut up in hospital so long. He'll probably be more careful now tho.
Must admit some of my better sewing efforts have been after wine....bit sad really

Lottie, very cute baby. I get to play with them all day at work. Nice to be able to leave them behind and go home at the end of the shift tho.

Having a quiet morning today. Breakkie in bed after doing the chooks and horses. Should jump up and go to the tip in a minute..........do I have to?
Will be sorting, tidying, cleaning rooms with daughter for the next few days. I need to get my office finished, then can move some things into there. And we are swapping rooms, so will need to get some undercoat for the walls as well. Then to decide what colours we want to paint them. I'm thinking green and purple. She's thinking a different colour on every wall. She has friends coming over for a sleepover next week and she wants them to help paint a 'feature' wall in her room. Wonder if I can con them into doing the hallway for me as well?

    • Up early today (well early for a Sunday). Lots to do, so early to the plot as well I think. I took loads of brassicas down yesterday to plant out and did not finish, so that is MOST important. Also, more weeding. I think the weather is going to be good today, warm and sunny. FiL is coming for his supper this evening (I think of him as FiL even though he isn't officially related - not for another 3 weeks anyway). He is 90 and still lives alone and is really very independent, although getting a bit vague and forgetful now.

      • Morning Susie and All! Looks a bit grey out there but whatever happens is good - even rain as the ground is so dry!! The garden was heaving with birds yesterday - lots of youngsters shouting and practising flying. They do amuse me

          • Ugh what a day yesterday not only was I at work at sparrows, missus flopped into bed too hard on Friday night and broke the base( was a real cheapy that we bought when we first returned)

Yesterday saw me picking up some wood ( yup from that pile at work after I got all the services for the factory up) rushing home and knocking a 6ft by 6'6" bed and headboard together. Rather pleased with the result

Arms aching today. I thinks I should invest in a circular saw as hand cutting takes it out of ya. Thing is I cannot justify the cost plus on bright side I got some exercise....

Youngest is 4 weeks today and he skipped a bottle last night so only woke for a feed twice... Happy days!

I probably shouldn't have gone sewing after a glass of wine either, even if I did have it with food.
Jules I know what you mean but at the time working on something seems a good idea, you do know you'll end up doing the same thing again another time. I know i do

              • 4 weeks RT! Already!

Such a nice day today. Was fairly mild last night for a change. Up to let the chooks out and feed the horses then breakfast in bed and on the computer.
Tip run - well that's going to have to stop! Just got the new list of charges At those prices I shall most likely have to start burying stuff on the property! Isn't it enough that we have to take it there in the first place? Sort it? And put it in the right containers? Other people get theirs picked up at the curb, and get a bin for free! We already pay rates to cover having the tip there to use fgs!

But on the plus side I got two paintings, one framed of a WA gorge, and one of a local site, by a local artist, I already have one of theirs that I got as a present. Well that's what you get for keeping in good with the tip lady And a pink wooden chair.......son is aghast, but I can always paint it a different colour. Told him I'll store it in his room......under all the clothes he keeps in there!

Lovely afternoon checking out the paddocks, having horses sooking up in case there are treats going, and a walk on the fire trail with a girl and a horse at sunset. Yes, that's right, we had some sun to set

                • Jeez.....woken up with a lead head this morning - that horrible 'overslept far too long' feeling and it was only 8 o'clock. Still don't feel too clever and I don't think it was the wine.

Grey and misty out there today, but it smells lovely - fresh & summery.

Right, jobs to do, invalids to shower....back to make coffee in a little while, if'n you're gasping help yourselves!

                        • Aaaaaaaaarternoooooooon Peeps! Hot and sunny here. Got up an' out early to watch a chum do her Dressage test - she was first in, so was nice to beat the heat. Despite us all calling it Stress-age, she did very well, coming second, and only missing out by one point. Fab! That's horse-dancing for those non-horsey types out there.

Too hot for coffee, but I'm gonna have one anyway, then go mow out the front. Have a good 'un.

So you're going to 'veg' but not at the lottie Chris?

If Dressage is Stressage G4, what is hacking? I'll have a coffee too thanks.

Oh dear, I do think I got the wrong quote in there, oh well, I'd best wish Chris all the best then
