When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

      • G'Mooooooooooornin' Peeps! Sunny and dry here again, but not as sweltering as yesterday (I hope!), t'was too warm for me at times.

I'm waiting for my shopping to arrive, and have been tasked with 'sorting' a courier collection for Himself. I told him to do it himself, but he's just sent me an address by text, so looks like I didn't hammer the point home properly *Wanders off grumbling...

Oh, and I need coffee, and the milk bottle's empty...

              • Shopping here, and packed away. Washing-up done and kitchen tidy. Dog beds airing and covers washed. Brekkie cooked.

I'm going to finish a leisurely nosh, then phone and shout at Hubby - see 'rant' thread!

Have a fab day all, see ya later.

                  • Was a lovely day today, after a very cold start. We have some water but not enough as I was slack as, and didn't nag the boy to get going earlier!
Daughter is dropped off to a friends place for pizza and movie night. She'll be tired and good for nothing till thursday at the earliest! Oh well, didn't get the shifts I put in for, so I'm free all week. Got plenty to do so I won't be bored.

Hoping for another sunny day tomorrow please.

                      • Morning, Grapes. Weary bones here too this morning, but I had a big smile on my face when I left for work and saw the results of all our hard work yesterday.

We've got a little sun but it keeps hiding behind the clouds.

                        • Just spotted one of next door's builders in my front garden - looking for his pasties
Apparently, my neighbour on the other side's Houdini-like Jack Russell has pinched all the food from their lunchbag and had been spotted hightailing it with a pasty in his mouth

This was a leaving gift from a friend at my last job and my first orchid. After watering it I stood it outside and the wind blew it over and snapped both stems. I hope it will come back and flower again.

                              • Eeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps. Did a couple (or more) hours weeding and planting for my Ma, whilst the Dawgs had great fun bimbling around. Then I went and did something I haven't done for about twelve years or more; I had a riding lesson. On the BIG 'Orse (whose owner is on Hols, so I'm in charge! ) BIG 'Orse has different controls to my little old Fella, so t'was an interesting and informative forty minutes, but I am now completely POOOOOOPED.

Pilates this evening, and I've just had two G&Ts to summon the energy to get in my trackies.
