I've stayed out the sun this afternoon too. I got burned at the boot sale this morning, even though I was wearing an oil slick's worth of Factor 30.

I've been in the workroom, making another scenic skirt. This one is made of fabric that looks a bit like Lyme Regis. Just got to put the waistband on it.

I won't get much sewing done tomorrow - last hospital check up for the BH, followed by an afternoon appointment at the Rheumatics Clinic in Bath - so, hopefully, I'll get it finished this evening if I don't poop in this heat. Our bedroom has been slowly baking in the sun since lunchtime; it'll be difficult to sleep later I think. Maybe a midnight walk on the beach......

I never did get the scoring in tennis. Or football. Or rugby. Or netball. Or hockey. Or cricket. Or any other sport you care to mention. I always did my utmost to get out of P.E.

Evening all, took the team of little helpers to the allotment this afternoon. Heck it was hot! Spent most of the time sitting in the shade and reminding the littl'uns to sit down on the picnic blanket in the shade and drink.

All four of them had peas straight from the pod, strawberries straight from the plants, and Caleb even ate a raw gooseberry and said he liked it - strange child!

I'm still wrangling Hubby's paperwork. Like most people that are good at their job, he's ruddy useless with paperwork.

Yes, I've ranted about it before, and I guess I'll rant about it again. At least the dinner smells fab, or I'd have to strangle him!

Evening. It aint arf ot. Good picture of me there VC (I wish). Been another lovely day. Youngest son has been and cut the grass and put me a small fence around the runner beans to contain the poached egg plants. GGs stayed here last night and then I swapped them for Chester while daughter and family went to Chatsworth. He's just gone home. Home made pizza and trifle scoffed - lager and wine chillin'. No work tomorrow, so I'm hoping for another sunny day of gardening in the company of my daughter. Happy Days.
