OK, so imagine this situation (Note: it isn't necessary to close our eyes to do this, but you can if you so desire):

The weather has warmed up a bit, and you're at the first gardening show of the year. You are sat comfortably waiting for the first Question and Answer session with a panel of writers from a big, mainstream gardening mag (Obviously this one: I know the 'rules' on this...), and it's now your turn to put a question to the panel. And the question is: What would you ask?...

Good question.

Do you go for one that is specific to a problem area, or one which broadens your understanding of the garden as a whole?

I think I would ask what their biggest challenge is in their own personal veg garden. As a relative newbie, this would help me to set my own priorities and reassure me that even the top guys face problems too.

I''m struggling to find a question for them. Because I actually like the sorts of answers I get here.
I like to know what other people do, and why, and what works and doesn't for them, and take my choice of answers. I like to know from doers, not so much from people who have extensive learning.

BUT what I was wondering the other day as I drove past the nursery with the male and female kiwifruit plants in it.............why do they have combined male/female plants in the UK but I have to buy one of each?

I'd ask how many acres of land do you need to grow 2 kiwi plants

Because I'm a bit addicted to the Forum once I get on it...Although I have done some indoor work and had sown two kinds of peppers, two kinds of chillies, Basil, Chives, Parsley and some Coriander this morning...

Why has my bowl of deep blue hyacinths done very well, yet the deep pink ones are completely rubbish?
