Too many books?

We have loads of leeks which are just starting to think bolty thoughts so decided to use the net to seek out a recipe for leek curry.

First hit - Grapevine
Which lead to an oldish post taken from a spice website.
That was for a recipe taken from a cook book.
Which I have sat on my shelf.
Unread.

Too many books just means not enough shelves

We have so many bookshelves lining our walls that I'm quite sure our heating bills would be even higher without them........last count we had over 2000 books.

We bought have tablet devices and read on those, but we can't kick the fresh, new book, habit. There's nothing quite like the feel and smell of a crisp new book.......except, maybe, the brilliant story inside!

When you have made it, if its nice let us all know, I like the sound of leek curry, they are 2 classic Welsh dishes I believe, and sound a great combo.

Top leek recipe so far has been leek & chorizo risotto.

I do have 500 plus cookery books. That's my excuse....

I like leek and potato soup, and leek and cheese frittata. I substitute onion for leek in recipes its far milder.

I'm freezing leeks to use instead of onions especially as I can't seem to grow onions. I like l&p soup and frittata too.
Not sure if leek bhaji will work.

Use them as you would onions, for the base of your curry. Bliltz them, and have a leek-y dopiaza.

It would, I think. Sinch bhajis are half onion anyway. Try it!
