Cleared some last scrappy bits from allotment to take to the tip. Old bits of carpet from compost bin and an old broken pallet. Got it all to the tip without getting to wet and without the kids moaning about the number of woodlice in the carpets. I got them all out of the car, didn't have to queue at the tip and didn't get to wet either

Woohoo off work tomorrow and Monday

Yesterday I bought a new pair of kitchen scales. Because I am positive that I am going to have a better year than this year and I will need them to start making jams, chutneys and pickling stuff

Calling in at our local farm supplies shop to ask to put a poster in their window to advertise our seed and plant swap this Sunday!

I asked if they had any old plastic pots etc...or even plants they were chucking out.

Looks like there is a selection of annuals and perennials!

The annuals will look perfect in my compost... The rest just need a loving home/ greenhouse and a darned good prune back.
