  • A friend is driving me to RHS Wisley garden this Saturday and next weekend is Birmingham Grapefest, happy times!

    • Decade old nail varnish which is still good to wear, does 'speed dry' unlike the last effort, and - if I call correctly - was a pocket-money £1 to buy. Well done 'Barbara Daly for Tesco'.

      • The easterly wind eased to a gentle breeze. And I saw a kestral hovering in the clear blue sky, it was magical.

        • I've seen two hovering Kestrels in two days, here, too. Lovely. Though how they manage to hover in this biting north-easterly gale, is beyond me!

My 'happy' is being given very useful information, by a lovely person, that may save someone else a lot of grief and hassle. Thank you very much, you are a star!

          • I've been counting Buzzards on the way to B/water. The sister doesn't like motorway driving so we go the A roads instead - thirteen Buzzards. There's one, in Brent Knoll, who sits on a lamp post right above the road - she's always there.

Happiness is just being at home. I don't have a lot of spare time, but 'tis mine own now.

Happy cos I just received a note from my Lottie Landlady, thanking me for paying my rent bang on time and saying that my "little garden was a credit to me". So the mad scramble to restore order was worth it!

                          • Wearing a friends baby in a sling, and watching Le Impossible Spot breathe in two deep breaths of baby smell, then gently breathe down the baby's neck so he could recognise Le Spot as well. So cute!
