  • The sun is out and I can see mountains without getting in the car and driving to them. Might be the first time this year.

You've not seen me knit! I'd be wearing it in 2033

          • Monday evening my kitchen tap literally exploded!!!

Even though my OH is really busy with other building work he decided we should not just get a new tap...but a new sink! ( bear in mind my 30 yr old kitchen cupboards are made of tiled 10cm deep cast concrete * sighs)

He's spent all day cutting out the concrete surfaces and plumbing in the sink and tap...and I'm soooooo chuffed and proud of him.
Nothing went wrong...and now- bless him, after clearing up the kitchen mess, he's started cooking a Thai curry for supper!

What a love..and before anyone asks- nope you can't borrow him!!!

                  • Happiness is: A semi-tidy workroom. Can't believe it's taken almost all day barr two hours off to take #1 to Bristle for a job interview (I traipsed around Ikea, down the road, whilst he had his interview)

And the lovely Rose & Lily of the Valley scented candles I bought in said Swedish emporium - smell fab!

                          • My new fitted kitchen. Spent the whole afternoon finding new homes for all the dishes that were squashed into the old presses. Now all I need do is remember where I put everything. Hubby going round all evening muttering to himself that he can't find anything any more.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I am happy the Chinese orchid is flowering. I bought a bulb 3 weeks ago at RHS Plant fair. The guy said it's very easy to grow. He was right. What a beauty!
