I'm going on holiday a month today. Me. On vacation. In a month. First time I've been away for three years. First time I've been away, for more than a weekend, in ten years.

I sooooo need a holiday. So I'm going with two pensioners and a cripple......

Visiting my Mum last night and finding that my brother had been round and left me five lovely little tomato plants that he'd raised from seed.

It has saved her from being put to sleep in Spain - poor thing. I am waiting to hear if we are suitable, but we have offered to foster her. She's being rescued this weekend.
I had already made tentative leanings towards a maybe, but we come as a family and it has to be right for all of us, although I would take all of them if I could.

Seeing a cuckoo for the first time. We hear them lots but have never actually seen one - very elegant bird, whizzing off over the garden.

And the older semi feral brother of our squished kitten has decided to move in, take over the sofa and be all soft and cuddly. It's lovely mate, but pease don't bring me mice!
