Learning new words - just picked up "interceptionists" from WendyC, and "knuckledragger" from Bins - both from the minor rants thread. I think knuckledragger is going to be my "word of the year". I love it!

Two wrens in my greenhouse.......sitting on the side quite happy. don't know how long they'd been there as the door was only open a crack. So I opened it wider and crept away . Checked later and they'd gone. Hope they'd been feasting on some bugs .
Earlier this year I did a big application thing to get some free trees and hedging for the new wildlife/apiary area at the lottie . Got an e-mail from them today ........looks like we'll be needing to plan a tree planting party as we will have 420 trees to plant

Tried out a new machine in the docs today....does height, weight, calculates BMI, does blood pressure and pulse... ...apparantly I have the blood pressure and pulse rate of an athlete not a very nearly 54 yr old smoker .....that shocked 'em
(yes yes I know it's bad for me etc etc.....)
