An enjoyable day in the sun. A couple of hours gainfully spent weeding, pruning and cutting-back. Then Horsey chores and a natter with chums. Followed up by a walk with the Dogs just before dusk.

Got my allotment now on the newly created site 100 yards from my house. Can't wait to spend the weekend pootling about and planning!

Today I finally cleared up a big pile of pine branches that's been sitting there for about two years. The hens kept me company, clucking and scratching and getting under my feet and the dog kept grabbing sticks and running off with them. The rain cleared away and the sun came out, and when the pile was cleared up I got a great sense of achievement. It was such a good morning

Watching a large House Spider walk across the front paw of one of the Dogs. She jumped, stared at it, and watched it walk across the bed. Then t'other Dog watched warily, as it approached him. I had to get out of bed, fetch a glass, and put the poor thing outside to safety, as I thought they were going to start playing with it.
Nutters!
