The lovely Mr Teez organised a special treat for my birthday. A hands-on experience day at the Yarak Bird of Prey Center, Collopton. Got to fly a Kestral, a Barn Owl, a Harris Hawk, an Eagle Owl and an American Buzzard and have "Khan" the Golden Eagle and "Kira" the Chilean Blue Eagle sit on my wrist! FANTASTIC day!

Wow from me too!
Today heard from a single mother with two boys. She's been renting locally in a really crap house, but she likes to live in the country with the boys, and they had to move about 12 months ago unexpectedly. Then the owners of crap house decided to sell - go to auction today! Hello? Just before Christmas with two kids. Very stressful for her.
She put in a bid on it, and they wanted more so continued to auction.
She put in a bid on another house (much cuter, but not as much room outside).
She's been really stressing today, and just as she was fbíng that she hoped they weren't out on the street soon, her stepfather rang to say that the offer on the cuter place has been accepted!
So happy for her! She really deserves to have a place to call her OWN home!
