  • Having a really good nights sleep after the trees falling down the night before. It was soooo quiet , Apart from my gorgeous 7year old granddaughter Marnie, chatting away for 15 mins before we went to sleep. I found out that I was the Nanny with wrinkles and grey hair, her other Nanny must be younger cause she had brown hair and no wrinkles. I did mention hair die, but it was lost on her lol. Cooking today, we have such great fun together

        • Going to the Potato Day at Saltaire on Saturday with a friend who can talk endlessly about gardening, just like I can! It's an annual event for us. There was an inspiring organic veg stall there this year. As well as our seed potatoes, we bought tons of produce, including gigantic celery, beetroot, onions and carrots. I ate some of it going home on the train. People stared - has no one ever seen a crazy woman eating celery before?

          • Sunshine and wall to wall blue sky.
Birds singing, butterflies fluttering and glow worm larvae living under my compost bucket. It may have to move home to the vegetable garden!

                • Waiting to see the consultant this afternoon and all the other folks in the waiting room were rather more elderly than us. They were all chatting, laughing and generally enjoying life. One of the doctors had to come out and ask them to be quiet! You should have heard them all giggling after he'd left.

                        • My average results from a week of taking my blood pressure at home being 45 points lower than in the Dr's surgery! I am such a hypochondriac, I only have to see the bp machine coming out and it shoots up!

                          • More rain and damper ground..............although I was happier about getting the organic pasture hay...before it got wet.

21+ kilos of organic beef and pork. And organic lamb bones for the dogs.

Getting a new baffle plate for the fireplace (think we might have to order one..but no)

Not so good about the electricity off when I got home at long last.

                            • Frogspawn! The pond and other flooded parts of the garden are full of it. I've scooped up as much as I can from the flood puddles and put it into the pond.

                              Must be Spring then!

                              • A whole day without rain (yesterday), playing the garage (doubles as a potting shed) this morning and the prospect of 2-3 hours at the plot after lunch. Yay!
