    • Making myself eat the strogonoff that has been hanging around in the fridge since the end of last week despite not being hungry - and enjoying every mouthful.

      • I've done strawberry, apricot and raspberry so far. Raspberry is absolutely delicious, strawberry too, but I did not cut my apricots up small enough and the set is not too good. Your combinations sound lovely, will maybe give them a go Nicos. Next for me is strawberry and rhubarb. Strawberries from garden in freezer, rhubarb will be picked fresh. My first ever totally home grown jam.

Have tried rhubarb this year. It came out like a compote. So much fruit that it was hard to tell whether it had set or not! But it tastes lovely. Good luck with your new jams!

                            • Being given a beautiful bouquet by the 2 lads who had the cycling accident outside the house last week.
I'm so glad that the lad who hit the lamppost is OK and should make a full recovery from his broken shoulder and arm. He's been on my mind all week.
They've picked up their bikes and the garage is mine again

                              • Finding out I am "normal"?

Yes officially "normal". "No action required". A great weight off my mind.

I rang the doctors today for blood test results. The last three sets have not been "normal" according to my doctor. (but he did mutter something about not everyone falls in the "normal" range) and they didn't have anything to compare with as I only go when desperate).

So now I am officially normal, but possibly not normal for me.
