              • Just found a hunting dog wandering around the front of our property...clearly lost.
OH went out and it came running up to him for reassurance .
I grabbed a biscuit and suggested he use it to tempt the dog to pop iinto the back of our Disco and see if he could find the owner who would bound to be looking for him.

He came back about 20 mins later without the dog and a big smile on his face.....yup, he'd been driving round the forest looking for him and was thrilled to have him back.

                " do you eat venison?"
                Yup!
"oK....we'll drop some off for you as a thank you!"
                No need!
....it would be a pleasure...thank you!

YEY!!!!!!!...that put a smile on my face!

Yup...poor deer, but their numbers are carefully monitored...

                      • I might be through with the horrid virus that kept me in bed most of last week. Hardly ate or slept during it and now I'm beginning to catch up with massive sleeps... slept for 11 hours last night! My appetite's back but my stomach's got used to small quantities. Hooray! Am going to try and keep that up for as long as possible...

                        • My Mum and her happenings !!

"I missed the bus so sat down waiting for the next one. A man comes along, sits beside me and says, Thats a nice red coat", - he was wearing a red coat too.

Then he starts stroking her arm and they're chatting away. He said "Do you mind if I ask how old you are" so she replied "I didn't think a man ever asked a woman her age.....................but if you must know, I'm 94". So he said, "Never, you don't look it. How old do you think I am?"
Mum, looks him up and down and, being a kind soul, says "65".

                          What!! I'm only 55!

Probably a good thing the bus came along then

                              • I have managed to work it so kids are going to my mom and dads and OH is going to be at work. So this means I can go to the allotment and do some work.
Planning to lift some of the decking down there. So bought myself a new saw this morning . On Saturday I am going down to the allotment armed with my new saw, a drill, crow bar and a big hammer. Just can't wait.
