  • What is soooo odd about staying at the allotment while it's still light to try and get everything planted, that I have to endure a shouty suspicious phone call about it?

    • Teenage son just broken laptop screen. So pleased we spent £120 having the hard drive replaced a few weeks ago.

        • Hayfever, an allergic reaction to something that's driving me crazy, watery eyes, sunburn, a clotted ear and a very bad back from all that clay oven building; all at once. Plus exhaustion.

Can I have another weekend tomorrow please.

          • Every possible measurement for the garment was given (more than once) in the listing, including a photograph of the garment label. Why are you telling me - now that you have bid & won it - that is it too short??

It was a clear enough listing. You read it, you bid, you won. It was £4 - take the hit and sell it on, FHS.

            • I would like the sh*t fairy to leave my friends alone please. I'm not talking about a particularly wide circle but in the past ten days people dear to me have variously lost their dad, nanna and best friend. At the weekend another mate's husband was put on life support after a long illness and today I heard that yet another friend's brother in law has terminal cancer. Enough now
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

              • So I now have windows7, which means that I need to download a copy of the Royal Mail Smartstamp software onto this new pc. Log into my Smartstamp account, 'download a copy of the software' - yep

Now what am I supposed to do? I have a zip file with a million files contained therein - what now?

What happen to 'save or run this program' that I had on good old xp????

I'm going to have another crack at this in the morning when I'm fresh. Looks simple on the vids!

                          • Well Mr Sm@rt@rse Teacher, being late for early morning excursions may be a famiily tradition with us... really appreciate that remark to the 3rd child, who always had to be dropped at someone else's place before I delivered her brothers, and usually a couple of other kids to your bus - in the middle of winter whenever it suited the school, and picked up after dark and brought home....and I guess the other Family Tradition of me doing your careers advice and helping the Tafe teachers organise their classes from school because you can't organise a p*ssup in a brewery will still be on as well?

Watch out for the Family Tradition of me saying what I think!
I'll give him a Family Tradition right where he doesn't expect it!

Yes, thanks, I feel better now.

                              • If the bin bag is full, tie it, and get a new one. Simple. But no, you'd rather just squeeze more in, or rest it on the top, so when I go to do it, all the extra items fall on the floor.

Yeah, it's the little things, isn't it!?
