  • Thank you for locking the shed with the padlock. Yes I do know where the keys are, they are on the shelf inside. How many times do you go on at me about knowing where keys are? perhaps you should have checked before you locked up. That's my gardening tomorrow well and truly mucked up.

    • Car Insurance Companies - Yes, that old chestnut again.

Last year, for those of you that are interested, I had to insure two cars, as I hadn't sold my big one when I bought the smaller one, and renewal was due. Not possible (without jumping through hoops and spending a fortune) to insure for a limited period, so I insured the big one for a limited mileage instead.

Had a renewal invitation email a couple of weeks ago, and instead of ignoring it (oh how I wish I had!), I decided to be polite, and inform them that I didn't wish to renew, and that I had in fact sold the vehicle. I got an email back saying they would be sending me, by registered post and secure email, a form to complete. WTF!?

Anyway, I deleted the email, and threw the letter in the bin. I then received another email, and a posted letter, telling me I could be prosecuted for using an uninsured vehicle (I know this - I am not stupid!). I binned them both.

Today, I got a letter telling me they want around fifty quid for cancelling the policy. I am ignoring it. I haven't cancelled the policy, I have merely told them I'm not renewing it! They can take a hike, thieving barstewards.

Nearly 30 years and I'm still not used to "Pembrokeshire Time". Finished sheering at 9.45pm. All of us freezing cold (including the sheep), then he asked me for so little I was embarrassed. (Did give him enough to make it that he had worked at at least living wage rate.)

We are doing the same. Beyond that is ours too but I'm rather liking the structure that some height gives to a long garden. Really can't think why we haven't done this before!

                        • Me. I've woken up grumpy and still tired, and discovered that I've double-booked myself for next weekend; I'm supposed to be staying at a friend's in Cheshire, and, running the plant stall at school's summer fair No-one else will run the stall if I don't so I'm going to have to cancel Cheshire Proper cheesed offthat out of four adults associated with gardening group, I'm the only one that ever does the stalls at these events.

                          Meh.

                          • I think you have a right to grumble, Sarz. Your friend will understand, and at least you can probably reschedule that visit.
