  • Ran into someone from my old job yesterday while doing a quick grab and run at the supermarket after driving home in torrestial rain (doesn't that sound nice ) wondered if I could keep going without having to be courteous, but she was standing right in front of the firelighters I was going to need. So I cheerfully said hello and tapped her on the shoulder. Hello back. That is all.
Honestly, we've never been fast friends but we've worked together for nearly 10 years. Just makes me feel so much better where I'm working now. People are just pleasant.

    • The weather! Been dreadful for the past 4 days, while I wasn't at work. Now I'm back to work and the sky is clear and the sun is out. GRRR!

      • Deliveries that are attempted but not left while you are out.

        • Kind of connected to your rant about deliveries, I'm often taking parcels and packages in for people, who are out at work, no problem, happy to help, but when i was asked if I could take a BED, in for someone along the road, I politely said there wasn't room in my garage, which there isn't. Suggested they ring the people etc, they didn't have number? Felt a bit mean, but it may not even have been the correct address!

          • Picked up my glasses today. I was really looking forward to getting my 'reading' glasses. I need them for sewing rather than reading as I hold my sewing closer than I do my books, and I've been struggling with things like unpicking - even with a spotlight.

Sadly, they are no good for reading, or for anything else. They make no difference at all. The assistant in the opticians said they've got quite a strong prescription in them - I don't think so - looks like plain glass to me as there is no difference at all in reading text with or without them. Another appointment is required.

Very cross-making as I really do need them. I have a queue of sewing that I had put to one side ready for getting these glasses and now it'll be another fortnight or more before I have the correct ones.

You can disagree with some, most, or all of it. Write your own account of the whole thing (keeping a copy) and staple it to their notes without signing it. You're not dramatising it, if they are going to do it they must do it properly and they haven't, so they'll have to now because you know how it's done from us. Don't get upset chick, get angry! I am. Want me to come over and sort them? G4'll back me up. In fact, we could probably get a coach full. Tell 'em we're coming for 'em
