Just opened a letter from our GP, requesting that Hubby goes in for a chat regarding his past TIA. This, after being told that it was a mis-diagnosis, and not what he had had at all. I'm now wondering if this is what's holding up his driving licence renewal.

Sit down, GP secretary-type person, and get ready to read your emails. I'm about to spoil your friday!

Doctors reception rang about my vertigo tablets. They'll be e-scripted over and at the chemist tomorrow.
OK. Fab. But the lady who spoke to me this morning told me the script would be at the doctors after 3pm today.

So what are the chances the chemist doesn't have them tomorrow for me?

Useless district nurse or community nurse or whatever you call yourself these days. Waste of space would be my description. You don't carry any appropriate dressings with you. If I have any problems you suggest I go to A&E. Why did the hospital ask you to call?

Sales person in optical shop. Has to be asked by other staff to get up from filing and serve us when we arrive. Takes medicare card from me twice because she didn't do anything with it the first time.
I let daughter 15yo go to get her eyes tested alone. Friend and I wait in the waiting area.
Tester passes 15yo with no money over to same sales person who proceeds to take her to choose her frames. I ask both tester and sales person to fill me in, as I'm actually the one paying (and the one making decisions). This is the place I got my 2 pairs of glasses from about 3 weeks ago. When there the sales person told me if I only wanted one pair, then these were the offers available. This girl insists that all of the glasses are two for one. No, they're not. Yes, they are.
Can I just get our script then? Yes, looks uncertain but doesn't ask anyone else in charge.
Take script, go over the road. Pay a little more, but get the best service. Teen has glasses she's happy to wear.

Todays gripe? Son who needs to go with his sister to see their father. Cannot be bothered making an effort to help work out what would be the most accomodating times to travel for them, and also for his sister to get her glasses without another 3 hour round trip for them. Have not booked the trip. I can't be bothered if you can't. Father will be ticked, but he can't be bothered booking or paying for it, and is already moaning that they aren't there when he's organised time off (why would you, until you have the dates) Soooooo, totallly over everyone this week!
