Rant:... Only thing that seems to be growing in my asparagus bed is self seeded marigolds... seeds came from a dead plant that happened to fly over the fence and shake itself around.....

First chance in a few weeks to start sorting out more beds this evening, 10 mins in and he heavens open. Grrrr. Stopped, I venture back out when it stops with a big mug of tea. Prompty knock it over with a spade. Grrrrr.

I did get most of the new rooooooot bed double dug though.

Bright sunshine, go and weed bed. Overcast with heavy rain, go into hut. Bright sunshine, weed bed. Overcast with hail stones, retreat into hut and put kettle on. Oh and don't forget the wind. At present back to bright sunshine, bugger the weeding and planting out, I came home.

Hubby's work are sending him to America for a week in May to visit a newly acquired business. Unfortunately, it happens to be the week we've booked off work to go away - luckily we hadn't yet actually booked anything (like accomodation etc)....
