  • Been raining for abut a week here. Weather forecast for today fine with showers this afternoon.
Great take two days off work to go to the allotment. Leave home at samje time I would normally go to work, full day at allotments.
Got up this morning, sun shining, put on gardening clothes, wife informs me I have to run the girl child to work.
Ok, what time does she start?
    11am
    My day killed off
    Walked the dog
    Have done the washing up
    Hung the washing
Drifted aroound on here for a while
Even been round with the duster
    Girl still rotting in bed
What a waste of a perfecttly good day
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

    • You got a free iPad. I am selling everything I own to get together the down payment for your car and you get the free iPad. Where is the justice in that?

Me? Jealous? Jealous doesn't even cover it.

Also, I will now get even less sense out of you than normal because this just feeds your gadget obsession.

PS Taking it into the toilet with you is just a tad too far, ok?

                  • She normally goes to work on her motorbike we bought her, except on days that are windy, wet, frosty,(or threat thereof), bit tired, or like yesterday going out straight from work.

                      • Walked out of work, sun is shining, blue sky, a few whispy white clouds. Fantastic, a quick sarnie then off to the allotment.

Get home from work 10 mins later, low thick bank of dark grey cloud, spots of rain, wind picking up. RUBBISH

                        • I've just emailed a major organisation to complain about their policies. Young people who haven't been able to find work are sent to this organisation, treated like pariahs, and patronised by their employees. After a few weeks of attending their 'help' sessions they make you 'volunteer' to work for them. You spend all day helping other people apply for jobs and have no time left to apply for any yourself. They then haul you over the coals for not applying for work.

Added to this, you spend an eight hour day there with no breaks whatsoever. You aren't even allowed to touch the water dispenser - it has a sign on it saying 'ST Employees Only'

I want to know if this is normal policy. I wonder if they'll ever reply to me? I wouldn't put money on it.

                          • Secumbing to the lure of 79p tomato plant (Sun cherry premium) in Morrisons but forgot to be careful of it on the walk back to work and it snapped in half. Have stuck the top half back in the compost in the hope it will root but it's looking pretty terminal. Will leave it on the windowsill at work over weekend (rather than subject it to further shoogling) and hope for the best.

Top half in a glass of water, like Potstubsdustbins milk bottle trick. It will root.
