Like Zazz says...... I had my kids as littlies through my 40's, changed my job to something I love, got to grips with this place... At 40 you could still have 50 years left, you can't afford to slow down before you have to. If my kids do the same as me I could be 72 before I become a grannie and I intend to be fit enough to enjoy having them if I can. People who say things like this are really telling you about themselves, what's gone on in their life to make this seem like a positive thing?

My rant is eisteddfod traffic- everywhere!

Also, the b****rs with the red setters (above somewhere) have moved in down the hill! Could be war.

Pay No attention Becki! I'm in my 50's and don't think I have ever been happier. I am working part-time in a job I really enjoy, we are financially secure (well as much as anyone other than a millionaire can be) and we are planning to get married. We go out regularly and enjoy ourselves! Look forward gal!

My rant - why can't you get reasonably priced matching wedding rings in silver?

I'd say it's just like not being in your 40s; if it was **** before, chances are it'll be just as **** after. If it wasn't, it won't be any different. Never understood the fuss about what age one is tbh, it's one of life's irrelevances.

            • I hated turning thirty - it had a sense of anti-climax, of not achieving anything I had aspired to do in my teens and twenties. Turning forty was a breeze - didn't bother me a bit - I started my own business that year too. And it was a gorgeous summer......last time I remember a prolonged period of lovely weather tbh.

Rant: Waking up at very first light with a raging earache. Gone now, thankfully.

Summer? I'd settle for some spring.

Dear E-mailer 1. I understand that you are e-mailing from your personal e-mail, but you have contacted this office regarding a professional service. I don't know you, so why would I want to see pictures of you fawning over your newborn? However sweet you think it is, you are not the first woman in the world to give birth, save it for family and friends who can at least pretend an interest.

As for E-mailer 2. Why on God's green earth would you ever think it appropriate to submit an e-mail to a professional organisation and end with "Yours, X, Y and little Z (who just used the potty for the first time 5 minutes ago)" I kid you not.
