Sorry to all the footie fans, but I only ever went to one match in my life, and it was 90 minutes of boredom in my life that I will never get back. However, ice hockey!!! Pure, unaldulterated fun. Especially the Wight Raiders. Cum on, you Black & White Army!!!

Can I please have a sympathy vote for having been a Man City fan since I was tiny & being married to a Man. Utd. fan who always gets the 'bragging rights' in our house.

Went to ice hockey once, was frozen as thinking I'd be inside and warm, not really thought it all through - also got very annoyed with all the american styley cheering and chanting which seemed to distract from the sport on the rink. Don't know if it was typical but was most definitely not impressed, give me footie any day (but not this premiership prima donna rubbish!)

          Isn't that grounds for divorce?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

No sympathy from me today - I'm a Spurs fan, and we needed those 3 points!

Citroen ZX Volcane (1.9i engine in an Astra-sized car - went like a rocket). It just had to be in red...

No problem, though - the current car is blue (if I ever get it back from the repair shop, but that's another story...)

Hang on - why does the footie thread have all the ladies on it???

Bit worried now we've sacked Stuart Pearce (seemed like a lovely bloke, good coach & called a spade a spade), just wondering who they'll get as a replacement (Neil Warnock is making noises about wanting to stay in the Premiership!).
Agree about some of the hunky players Lesley but haven't exactly got an abundance of them at City, Thierry Henry on the other hand is gorgeous & talented!

Well, we had a very exciting weekend.

Blackpool won their playoff match, and so are going to Wembley on Bank Holiday sunday....

Mr OWG is going (of course), I have elected to stay at home with the dog and my greenhouse!
