Well, thankfully Blackpool won their playoffs on Sunday and are now in the Championship after 29 years away....

Phew! I don't like to think what Mr OWG would have been like if they lost! He was stressed enough before the match anyway!

From what I can gather, Arsenal F.C were not exactly ecstatic with the reasons that he gave for leaving Arsenal in his interview. As for Barca paying £16 million, I think they paid too much as IMO we've seen the best of him already.

agree with probably seen the best of Henry, but who to replace him with?? walcott (to young), van persie (has glass legs - strikes a bit of form then bang, out for the season), and adebayor? (what the hell is he all about?)

we need to buy, and buy big, but that is against Wengers principles, assuming that he stays of course. (not holding my breath on that one)

it is a real shame that Henry has gone to la liga, there really is no one in the prem that comes close, but then we all thought about the doom and gloom when viera went how right we all were about that, ok fabregas has come on leaps and bounds since viera left, but still not the same class.

NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON!!!! anyone got a striker for sale!

Just wanna say that despite beating Chelsea in the pre-season friendly, my team (Rangers) were absolutely dire in the Champions League qualifier tonight, although they won 2 - 0 at home. First goal was a fluke and the second should have been disallowed for a foul on the defender. You can't help but feel sorry for the opposition - NOT

My OH flew up to Rangers for the game, Sewer Rat. All in all, it cost him over £400 for his team to get beat!
(somehow a £19 flight turned into a £189 one, after taxes and somesuch nonsense)

Bit late getting to this thread but just for the record I'm a Liverpool fan - I was born there and thats why I have always supported them. I also follow Tranmere Rovers (if anyone else has even heard of them!) on behalf of my dad who was a staunch fan. Don't go to matches these days, can't afford it and if I could my conscience would balk at the extortionate costs involved (few big words there, sorry about the spelling teehee!). Here's to an exciting, enjoyable and most of all trouble/hooligan free season ahead .....

Not really a Man U fan, but gotta feel sorry for em over this Carlos Teves situation... Not really their problem who gets the fee, they just want the player! Dunno why they can't do an 'escrow' thing, where someone holds the fees until the arguing lot sort out who gets it, and the player can go & start training!

You complain about footie but you still open the thread to see what it's all about. Isn't that the same as people complaining about what's on TV - they have a remote (I assume) to change the channels and ultimately an OFF switch too
