So, am I wasting my time sewing summer dresses?

Should I open a Wellies & Rainbrellas shop? Maybe diversify into waders & flippers......scuba gear.

It'll be warmer soon, I'd sow the summer dresses then. They'll be in flower by July.

Its supposed to be the start of spring in a couple of days time but it still feels like winter so I'll be leaving the electric blanket on the bed for a while yet.

winter truly used to be snow from November to March up here and summer was summer although not for long. Now we seem to get summer in February or March (although not this year)

never been lucky with the weather......

I always remember the UK record heatwave of 1976 with the national hose pipe bans in force from May to July and the UK sweltering.
I was abroad with the Royal Navy for the main period of the heatwave, but just before our return to the UK we celebrated the American July 4th Bicentennial Independence Day in Fort Lauderdale, fantastic event but the weather wasn't very kind.

We sailed back into Devonport on Saint Swithin's day and it started raining......honest

My birthday is St Swithin's Day....I know it was too hot to move in Cheshire on that day in '76. I also remember going to see the Halle Orchestra in Manchester that October. It was grey but warmish when we went in, but we came out three hours later to a couple of inches of snow!

I absolutely remember having proper seasons as a kid (70's/80's). I thought it was probably just rose tinted specs but if you google 'climate change' there's some scary stuff
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
