Ahhh, '76 remember it well, the year of measles and a dislocated elbow - not a happy summer for me! and the ruddy measles have affected my eyesight!!!

76 was one of the hottest summers on record if I recall correctly but I do remember there was a couple of inches of hailstones on 31st May. My daughter was born on 8th June that year.

Ah, the summer of '76, I remember it well. Months of sunshine........... 1000's of ladybirds.....................or was that '75?

I had my eldest son at the end of October 76 so it was a struggle carrying him through the heat of the Summer and those ladybirds, swarms of the damn things.
