Do you think this thread should be moved to general chat otherwise we are at risk of offending all the serious growers?

Maybe the ones in the pond shrubbery were gnomads like VC's

On a serious point I once saw a programme that talked about the origin of the garden gnome and they showed one that was the oldest known (mid 1800's) that had sold at auction for over a million pounds.

        .
I knew there was one I'd prepared earlier so I've merged the threads. At least you can see what my gnome is like - or was like - a couple of years ago. Wonder where he's hiding ?

I am now going on the hunt for a rude gnome so I can shock the neighbour.

I haven't got any gnomes I do have a plastic hedgehog and a plastic squirrel though. I didn't buy them the kids did, honest.
My dad has a gnome who is carrying a large sign saying 'S#d off'. They also have a fairy door which had been glued into place on a rock. Keeps the kids entertained as they keep knocking on it and then hide waiting to see if anyone comes out of it.

I saw this little fellow today in the garden centre and couldn't resist.

I think it's the crossed toes that did it.

We're not sure what to call him. "Colin", maybe.
