Dilemma ...

I didn't do too well with the veggies last year because of the weather. So far this year it's been drier but much colder than normal. We've had some glimpses of sunshine, but not much. It's often overcast.

I've held back on doing anything in the veggie patch. I sowed some seeds last week, will do more this weekend.

So my dilemna ....

I've got some of those long plastic tunnel cloches .... I don't have anything to put in them yet .... do I put them up or not?
Sod's law says that if I set them up, it'll warm up and I'll have wasted my time .... and I'm really really busy with work and don't have time to spare .....

If nothing else, they will warm the soil up FG.

As we're now forecast snow for the weekend, the cloche tunnels can wait .... I'll build a snowman instead ....

I would use them, even if its just to warm the soil. We are off down the plot tomorrow and that's one thing I will be doing as I have some cabbage express seedlings that will want to go in within the next month.

As others have already suggested, they will at least warm the soil in readiness for sewing/planting. If you're expecting heavy snow, however, I would wait a while longer.
