RIght - just going to put the pasta on to have with 'herby chicken bites' (don't ask for the recipe - they aren't that great) and do the salad....anyone else find that dinner gets later the lighter it is in the evening...........?

Not cooking this evening - shot my bolt at lunch, full roast and all the trimmings, enough for an army!

Probably LJ.The only reason I wasn't out today was that I forgot that I had a holiday today.

Doing okay thanks LJ - been better though.

I bought our first dishwasher with a tax rebate years ago - stopped us from getting a divorce

                      • We had enough rain to keep the flies away (thankfully, since the horrid job that needs doing can't be done till tomorrow thanks to the bank holiday) but not enough to make the ground into mud. All in all okay I guess. Will be happier when tomorrow has been and gone.

LOL, I spent a portion of today scrubbing the kitchen floor, Madmax was rinsing the sponge and passing it back to me - he has a dodgy knee so can't kneel (I have had 2 dodgy knees forever so it doesn't bother me any more). I finished the floor and had to sit there for a while to recover before we could hoist me to my feet! then I made millionaire's shortbread.

Lots of lovely suggestions. I think it will depend very much on what I see at a price I can afford now that I have Madmax home. I will maybe just refer back to the thread and everyones comments from time to time and do what is right when I am able.
