You know- that's a really good idea.
No-one wants to get out in a blizzard situation and try and find where to screw in that darned eye thingy
It's no reflection on the drivers skills- just a sensible 'survival' thought...like keeping a shovel and blanket and boots with a good tread in the car.
Going out in the snow in an urban situation without those is actually negligent in my mind.
If you are are semi rural and have to drive in snowy conditions is just reckless.

Or fit winter tyres and don't get stuck in the first place. Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

At least they are a start!!!!!
The main problem is people in front of me sliding around or going nowhere and blocking the road. I'm not stuck, but I still can't go anywhere! Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made

The find and fit bit confused me too - I've never known a car where they're not attached as a permanent fixture.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
