We plant **** here in west Kirby.....free ****.....help yourself ****......they even let us do it in planters on the railway station.

Last time I got a train I ate sweet raw French beans while I waited for the train.......free! It was last summer.

We all need to plant **** too!

      Loving my allotment!

I know there are quite a few places that do this now, Newton - does it really work? Are there just a few folk who do all the growing?

It's a hardcore who do the growing.....there are about 20 active growers.......it's not guerilla as such as all the locations have been given over to growing but ere are unusual locations. Planters outside shops, railway station, parks etc.

It is very refreshing to see and I hope it inspires non GYOers to have a go at home.

There doesn't seem to be any vandalism......just over eager pickers occasionally.........

Thanks Newton! It would be great if all the Councils who put so much effort into growing flowers for "Britain in Bloom" changed their displays and competed for "Edible Britain" awards!

I agree.......how do we get that one started? Maybe asking them to start with 10% to start with.....imagine a display of lettuces.....That could rival all sorts of flower displays.....
