I just found a new thing you can do with goggle maps. I was messing about in satellite view with a fairly large scale map, and found by accident that if you drag the yellow man on top of a cathedral, you get a 360 degree view INSIDE the cathedral. (British ones at least). Clever, eh?

I couldn't do it either Bren. There's some new software that I loaded that enables the little man to swoop around (made me feel sick actually) and lots of photos , but I couldn't manage an inside panorama.
Can you tell us one that does it Mothhawk so I can have another try please.

I must just have struck lucky. I got Leicester by accident, thought "cool" and tried one as far away as I could - Exeter - that worked too. But I've just tried Nottingham and Cardiff with no joy, so it must be selective and only some are in the system. Sorry all

I tried Llandaff, St Davids and Wells. I'll try Exeter - bye!!

Leicester worked and I was able to walk around inside, into the side chapels, look up at the roof - amazing! Thanks MH

Liverpool and Ely give pictures rather than a panorama.

Lichfield Cathedral is pictures not a panorama too - but that's ok 'cause I walked round there myself in real life the other week!

Bottesford church is worth a look round too. It is the parish church of Belvoir castle and contains the grand tombs of the Earls and Dukes of Rutland.
