Just a fast pic of our little Pudding for those who asked.

It was taken on his first night with us so we didn't want to get too close and upset him

Well, she's started going out, now, so hopefully she doesn't do a runner! She went out mid-week briefly, circuited the house and then went to trot up the neighbour's track. I chickened out at that point and scooped her up. She hissed all the way back to the house. Honestly, we call her grumpy tits, she really lets you know when she's got the hump!!

Today she went out again and I decided to put a huge amount of faith in her and let her go. Went looking for her after 10 mins and found her round the back of the house, chewing grass. She came back in after about half an hour, for ooh, another 10 mins max. I suddenly heard the flap go (she knows exactly what that's for!!) and that was it, she was gone again! That was about half an hour ago and as I type this sentence she's just thundered back through he flap and yowled her head off!

This is from her first outing of the day. Not interested in the outdoors my arse!

Ahhhh....look at her. Lady of the Manor! I'm so pleased she's settling.

            How's Rosco doing?

Unfortunately it looks like Pudding has gone walkabout again.

He went out on saturday afternoon and hasn't come back yet.

We are hoping that he has got himself taken in by someone who hasn't let him out yet, but at the end of the day he may have only just been passing through.

Here are our two new kittens. When the RSPCA asked if they had settled in I quite confidently said they had.

I like to think that somewhere there's a forum for cats, where all these little cuties are posting messages about their new owners!

Jules, Rosco is doing well. He's realised that she's more scared of him and now looks quite bemused by her little hisses. She's still quite worried about him. Still hisses if he's very close, which he is getting more often, as he now sees her as a curiosity rather than a cat to be feared! She's not too good with being handled, so am getting her used to that and administering cuddles ad lib. She's on my lap right now.

Awww, Slug.....that's good to hear. Give them a few months and they'll be best buddies.

My lot have all been hit hard by sunbeams today - they never make it through a sunbeam and out the other side. Something happens halfway through and they have to give up and have a rest.....they can only move again when the beam has released them.

I have the same trouble. Was in the yard filling haylage nets earlier, with Rosco 'helping' by sunning himself on the nearby trailer. I was suddenly overcome and had to sit on the trailer myself. Even Sandy went out again, but didn't like the wind. She was soon back in and is now recovering by having another nap.

I had feline assistance, whilst gardening, this afternoon. My Customers' big fwuffy Ginger pud-tat usually appears as soon as I get my kneeling mat on the ground. He sneaks up behind me, gets on the spare end of the mat and goes to sleep. I get up off the mat and wonder why it's heavy when I try to move it, I look round, and there he is. (Yes, it's a big mat, about 2' x 3')

What I want to know is, if rescue centres are so full of cats and dogs desperate for rehoming, why do they make you jump through so many hoops to get one!

Consider yourself lucky he only gets on the mat. My cat prefers to sit on my legs when I'm kneeling. I think he gets confused and thinks it's a lap.
