Hence GYO!

I dont have any local greengrocers since moving 'down south' - always used one back home in Cheshire but now tend to rely on Tesco... I know, I know, saying I hate them but then using them! I never ever buy meat from supermarkets, always go to the farmers, but have yet to find one to supply me with fresh veg. Hopefully I can supply myself in a couple of months, with at least some home grown!

If it isn't too impolite to ask, what part of Bucks are you in Moggssue. I have family in Marlow.

I'm in Stoke Poges, not a million miles from marlow. I've only been here 18 months, am originally from the Chester area and moved to be with my OH. And no, not impolite at all!!

I used to live in Marlow and they definitely have a greengrocers and a great fishmongers, not that I used them much (used to buy wholesale).

Stoke Poges used to have a little parade of shops but it's all been flattened! Its all fenced off now waiting for - ermmmm - Tesco to build on it! Marlow is a tad far for me to do daily shopping but I'd def be interested in a farmers market there?

I moved out about 7 years ago but they did have the occasional french type farmers market in the park (Higginson) by the river and it was on the weekend Sunday I think.
What about Farnham Common thats nearer but I cannot remember if they had a veg shop when I lived there (as well)

Dont know of a veg shop in FC off hand, there is one in GCross but it still isnt a real 'greengrocer'. Right, off now so have a good weekend!

Isn't it terrific popping to the plot for your shopping instead of Sain/Tesc/Asda ? I find I don't even want Kenyan beans when I can have fresh leafbeet and Flower of Spring cabbage instead.
It's a shame that the only apples in store at the mo are from S.Africa...I'm trying to cut food miles, but I need my daily fruit. Strawbs now have green fruits on tho, so won't be too long
