Garage Roof

Garage manufactures changed over from asbestos to cement board in the 90s but they used the same imprint on the cement boards so you can't tell the difference by looking at them.
The only way to tell is to send a sample away for testing.
best way is always assume its asbestos.
I took 4 4ft x16ft sheet to the local tip they said I had to double bag them.
Would of need a huge bag and they agreed it would have been a bad idea to brake them up.
so they closed the tip gates unlocked the asbestos skip
Then hid in the site cabin whilst we unloaded the cement sheets.
Some council will only take it if its in approved asbestos bags Arco sell them
I Wouldn't walk on the sheets spread the load
Local mechanic fell through an asbestos roof whilst jet washing moss of his workshop.
If its a concrete garage the roof sheet provide a bit of rigidity
If you replace the roof with plastic the walls will wobble a bit .

Time for someone from Aberdeen to comment. What was that comment about living in Aberdeen about? .
Anyway, Is there not a sticky backed bitumen product that could be used to effect a repair. |Could be fashioned over the ripples of the sheeting. Don't go on the roof without duckboards though.

Flashband has a sticky back and is best applied in warm weather (some chance!) If not you could do what I do and use a hair dryer to soften and mould it into position. My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

unless the asbestos is breaking up and/or crumbling, its always best to leave in place. could you not buy corrugated plastic sheets and fit over existing panels?'' We came in different ships, but we're all in the same boat ''

Flash band is a good product.
But as the instructions say the area must be clean, free from dust, grease, loose material and standing water.
Check which primer you need as there are two different ones for different purpose's.
